At Trump’s New York Fraud Trial, Judge Makes Clear Who’s In Charge

New York Fraud Trial

On Monday, Trump and his lawyer faced direct questions from Judge Arthur Engoron on the civil fraud trial and avoided providing direct answers. Engoron decided “Enough is enough,” he said to Christopher Kise’s lawyer Trump,

Mr. Kise, can you control your client? This is not a political rally. This is a courtroom

This is not the first time Engoron the 74-year judge of the Supreme Court 1st Judicial District in New York lost his patience. The New York Attorney General Letitia James accused Trump’s family business and his adult son’s manipulation of financial statements and suspicious secrets in Trump’s net worth and assets.

Since the trial began Engoron has fined Donal Trump the former U.S. president in Manhattan courtroom, two times for violating a gag order. Trump criticized James while presenting himself on the witness stand by saying, “Political Witch Hunt”.

Trump also said to Engoron,

I’m sure the judge will rule against me because he always rules against me

When Trump was asked to answer a yes or no question about the valuation of a Wall Street office tower, Engoron disrupted“We got another speech” from Trump, he told Kise. “I beseech you to control him if you can. If you can’t, I will”.
