The ongoing case of the Donald Trump fraud trial raised another issue on Friday since the working lawyers made public statements about the case so the judge restricted them from doing so.
Justice Arthur Engoron, the judge of the Donald Trump case said,
“from making any public statements, in or out of court, that refer to any confidential communications, in any form, between my staff and me. My chambers have been inundated with hundreds of harassing and threatening phone calls, voicemails, emails, letters and packages. The threat of, and actual, violence resulting from political rhetoric is well-documented,”
This is the second gag order the judge has imposed throughout the trial. It happened after a protracted argument between Trump’s attorneys and Engoron, who had been the subject of the former president’s attacks since the beginning of the trial, erupted on Friday. The argument lasted for almost thirty minutes.
