Travers Smith has just announced their firm’s new partner to be Andrew Gillen.
Gillen is set to take over from 1st January, 2024 from the former acting senior partner Siân Keall, who served since the beginning of January this year (2023). He had joined Travers, more than twenty years ago and presently serves as the head of the corporate firms of ECM and M&A Group.
The firm also took note of the fact that his leadership proved to be very fruitful for M&A which became a core focus for its strategy. Previously, he had also been a part of the partnership board as well – even during the Covid pandemic time and exercised as the head of the International Board.
The firm of Travers Smith also stated that Gillen had played an active role as well in formalizing the approach of the firm towards international work and has also developed a very strong client base internationally. He regularly advised on the companies that were non-UK / cross border investments and transactions into the country of UK.
