UK nurse Lucy Letby is convicted of murdering seven babies and killing or attempting to kill more than six. Her youngest victim was just one day old. This is the worst case in the history of medical serial killers. The reason behind the actions of the 33-year-olds cannot be explained. But jurors can share several possible reasons after her 10 months of trial. Lucy Letby enjoys playing the role of God.
Lucy Letby’s final victims were triplet boys. The court addressed them as O to P. Child O died shortly after Letby returning back from holiday in June 2016. Child P died right after his sibling. The prosecutors say:
completely out of control, adding that she was in effect playing God.
She also enjoys hurting the babies. Letby was arrested and released two times before. The third arrest making in 2020 and at that time she was held in custody police found hospital paperwork where she wrote:
I am evil, I did this.
This is a real surprise. How come a five and a nurse are involved in such types of destructive actions? The Jurors also presented several notes by Lucy Letby such as:
I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough to care for them
I will never have children or marry. I will never know what it’s like to have a family.
