This Black History Month Highlights The Need For Empowering Our Sisters

The theme for this year’s Black History Month is “Saluting Our Sisters”. This is the time when we need to reflect and also celebrate the various achievements of Black Women throughout history.

The time presents itself as an crucial opportunity for us to be able to recognize and appreciate the resilience, fighting and unwavering spirit of Black Women who have played major roles in shaping the society.

You, dear reader can partake in this too by actively advocating for equal opportunities, listening to them and addressing and making more people aware about the hardships they face. A few steps that you can incorporate for your own self is by partaking in diversity training and mentorship programs which aim towards promoting more inclusivity.

All of us must use this month as a form of opportunity to empower and uplift our Black sisters – in all aspects of our life.
