Law Society And SRA At Odds Over The Call Of Compensation Funds Due To The Axiom Ince Intervention

Call Of Compensation

As a result of the collapse of the Axiom Ince, tensions run amok among the representative Bodies’ of Solicitors and the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) – regarding the levy to be paid on the profession.

The SRA had conceded in their blog post last Thursday that there is going to be an increase in the levies of the funds for compensation – particularly for cases that involve fraud.

This update came in full force on the calls of the City Of London and the Law Society of Wales and England – for the profession to be consulted on the plans of SRA. This has been done so that it accounts for its actions leading to the closure of the firm of Axio Ince, back on October 3rd.

The SRA has also additionally pointed out its intervention in two other law firms as well – Kingly and Metamorph.
