Civil Fraud

On Friday the judges reviewing former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial issued another gig order. The lawyers are also interdicting those who are working on this trial,

making any public statements, in or out of court, that refer to any confidential communications, in any form, between my staff and me

In a three-page court filing by Judge Justice Arthur Engoron which issued the gag order to protect his cour staff, he said,

My chambers have been inundated with hundreds of harassing and threatening phone calls, voicemails, emails, letters, and packages.

Judge Engoron also wrote,

The threat of, and actual, violence resulting from political rhetoric is well-documented,

On Friday, Trump’s lawyers flared up to Engoron about the judge’s principal law clerk, who has been a target since the start of the trial. The debate continued for approximately 30 minutes. The clerk, Allison Greenfield faced several complaints from Trump. Trump accuses him without any solid evidence.

At the beginning of the court proceedings Friday, Kise continued to seize on Greenfield. Kise said Greenfield has shown “demonstrable bias or at least the appearance of that” setting a new story. Also, Kise complained about Greenfield’s passing notes to Engoron during the court proceeding which is influencing his decisions.
